Athletes in Action Super Bowl Breakfast

Super Bowl 50 was held in Santa Clara February 7, 2016. It was
preceded by the Super Bowl Breakfast on Saturday, February 6 in
downtown San Francisco. The event features the presentation of the
Bart Starr Award, as well as a testimony. It is the only breakfast that
is officially sanctioned by the National Football League. The goal is
to fill the Hilton Hotel ballroom with 70 percent non-believers to
hear a Gospel message in a non-threatening environment. Our own Brent
Jones, in his playing days with the San Francisco 49ers, received the
award in 1989, while former Cal star, Aaron Rodgers, and former
Stanford standout, John Lynch, also have received the recognition.
Brent will be Master of Ceremonies at the 2016 event. The award is given to a
player who demonstrates outstanding character and leadership in the home,
on the field and in the community.
